Importing data into Fillet
Fillet’s Import Spreadsheet helps you import large amounts of data:
- Ingredient names,
- Measurement units,
- Ingredient prices,
- Ingredient suppliers, and
- Ingredients in a Recipe,
Import new data, or update your Fillet data quickly and easily.
How to use Fillet’s Import Spreadsheet
Select a sheet:
- Recipes,
- Prices, or
- Units.
Download CSV version of sheet: File > Download > Comma-separated-values (.csv)
Enter data to be imported.
Use iOS app to import. (Android & web coming soon)
Ingredient names
Enter your Ingredients’ names in the Ingredient column.
When you use these Ingredients in Recipes, the Recipe Ingredients will use these names.
Ingredient prices
Ingredient suppliers
Ingredients in a Recipe
You can also use Fillet’s Import Spreadsheet to specify what Recipes use which Ingredients.
After you import your data, the Fillet apps can do automatic calculations for you.
Measurement units
Enter measurement units in the Units column.
When you use these Ingredients in Recipes, these measurement units are used with the quantities you entered in the Amounts column.
This is Ingredient quantity in a Recipe.
Enter measurement units in the Units column.
When you Order these Ingredients from your suppliers, these measurement units are used with the quantities you entered in the Amounts column.
This is Ingredient price per unit.
Enter custom measurement units (Abstract Units) that you want to use in the Recipes sheet or Prices sheet.
After you import your data, you can use these units in Fillet apps.
